Hey! I’m Carmen; a photographer, content creator, really a lover of all things creative!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the digital world. Growing up in the 90’s with the rise of digital cameras and the infamous internet - I couldn’t resist learning as much as I could! When I was 12, I began creating websites for my favorite boy bands at the time - learning HTML/CSS, creating graphics… you name it. Around the same time, photography really became prominent in my life. I loved taking pictures on my mom’s camera and having photoshoots with my friends - coming up with the theme of our next shoot was always exciting to me!
It wasn’t long after when I purchased my very own digital camera, and I haven’t put one down since.

Fast forward to 2013, I found my love for reading after one of my friends recommended I read Cassandra Clare’s Infernal Devices trilogy. To say that I was obsessed with her books was probably the understatement of the century! I created an Instagram account dedicated to her series and to also hopefully connect to other readers like me. Never did I expect for that account to change my life!

After about a year of having my Instagram account, I combined my love for photography by taking photos of books and posting along with a review after I would read them. I started working with publishing companies and eventually started working with authors, creating bookmarks, ads, digital graphics, etc.

I’m not sure where I would be right now without my love for photography, books, and the digital world. Therefore, 10 years later, I’ve decided to combine it all and create Socially Carmen.

Being able to capture moments that last a lifetime, as well as help others find ways to showcase their passion, truly means the world to me.

I absolutely love what I do, and I cannot imagine doing anything else!
